  • Designed Switchgear Controls and Protective Relaying for small hydroelectric plants, standby power systems, co-gen power systems, prime power systems, portable substations, ferries, and workboats.
  • Performed short circuit studies, coordination studies, and protective relaying settings work on systems ranging in size from 480 V to 15 KV.
  • Performed Arc Flash Hazard Studies, print and apply warning labels.
  • Designed AC & DC Drive Systems for use in forest products and machine tool industries.
  • Designed and programmed PLC Control Systems as required for switchgear and drive systems using Allen Bradley, Modicon and other equipment.
  • Designed and programmed Motion Control Systems for drive systems using Allen Bradley, Delta Computer and Delta Tau equipment. 
  • Performed in-house testing and start up of all the above types of systems. 
  •  Good understanding of Analog & Digital electronics as applied to Industrial Equipment.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal business communications.
  • Maintained entire UL procedures for manufacturing facility for over 18 years. UL Standards include:

    • UL891 Dead Front Switchboards, less than 600V
    • UL891 Switchgear, over 600 V

    • UL508C Power Conversion Equipment, DC Drives
